Donate to the Ray Shepard Funeral Fund Here!
Dear Filmmakers and Actors:
If you can not make it to Suntrust, I have put the PAYPAL DONATE button above. I will personal make sure Ray gets every penny you donate and he will know who donated what.
As you may have heard, one of our members of the film community tragically lost his wife on Wednesday in a car accident on the Cape Fear Memorial Bridge in Wilmington.
Raymond Shepard, an incredible actor and wonderful father of three beautiful boys, is having the funeral for Myia on Monday. As you know, funerals are not cheap. I understand it is hard for everyone this time of year and with the economy going down the drain, but if anyone can pitch in, whatever the amount, there is a trust fund in Raymond Shepard's name at Suntrust Bank.
All this week, please give whether it's just one dollar or 100 dollars, whatever you can. The stress of finances on top of losing his wife and his children losing their mother especially during the holidays is a stress I know we can help alleviate.
Thank you and please pray for Raymond and his family as he truly believes in the power of prayer.
Sincerely,
Sheila Brothers

What some of the judges said:
"I definitely liked Julie Kenner's script above the others, the main reason being that it really sucked me in, intrigued me and made me want to read more! "
"...The language and voice are strong from the getgo, with nice descriptions like "The THRUM-THRUM of a heavy bass line" and "A battle-worn TOMCAT..." to start us off on a good foot. Those first few lines of a screenplay are so crucial, as is the first page, and she obviously took a lot of care in writing hers. Finally, it's the intriguing QUESTIONS that she's raised here that make me want to proceed... She's created an interesting WORLD here that I want to explore some more. And all in 10 pages! Nice job!"
"Julie really floored me with her unique voice in her storytelling. She had me sucked in by page one. Her opening narratives are slick, creative and visual, her words, juicy."
